Sending an email in HTML format using Outlook

For those of you lucky enough to use Microsoft Outlook for email, here’s how to send a message in HTML format:

From http://www.slipstick.com/mail1/html.htm:

  1. Create HTML page and save to a local file
  2. New message in Outlook.
  3. Format->Plain Text (There isn’t an HTML option)
  4. Format->HTML (Now the HTML option appears)
  5. Insert->File
  6. On the Insert File pop-up, the Insert button
    is actually a pulldown menu. Choose the HTML file and
    select Insert as Text
  7. Send the email!
